Handbook Germany is an online information platform for all newcomers in Germany. Here you will find the essential information you need to start a new life in 9 languages: German, Farsi/Dari, English, Pashto, Turkish, French Arabic, Ukrainian and Russian.
Handbook Germany is a project by the Neue deutsche Medienmacher, Deutschen Telekom AG Adobe Systems. It is funded by the Federal Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration.
We want to help as many people as possible by providing them reliable information about life in Germany. This is why Handbook Germany is now available in 9 languages: German, English, Arabic, Farsi, French, Pashto, Turkish, Ukrainian and Russian. This means that the majority of third-country nationals residing in Germany can access reliable information for orientation in Germany in their mother tongues or the common official and commercial languages of their countries of origin.
If you’re interested in a specific topic, tell us on Facebook or via email. We will put it on our editorial plan and try to cover it as soon as possible. If there is anything you would like to see improved, don’t hesitate to let us know. We want to provide information which really helps, so your feedback is important to us.
We are continually looking for protagonists for our information videos. If you have specific knowledge in a field, e.g. studying at university or setting up a company in Germany, and would like to be featured in one of our videos, don’t hesitate to contact us.

At handbookgermany.de, you will find all the essential information you need regarding asylum in Germany, from applying for asylum to possible options after a rejection. Please understand, however, that we are not lawyers and therefore cannot offer case-specific advice. In our local information chapter, you will find counselling centres in your area, where you can seek counselling regarding your specific issues.
On handbookgermany.de, you will also find information about obtaining a visa and coming to Germany. In our chapter "Migration to Germany," you will find all vital information and counselling centres which you can contact for your questions.
