thanks for reaching out on the forum.
As you already know, it depends on the income of one household whether you get child benefit "Kindergeld" or child allowance "Kinderfreibetrag".
I assume that you already receive child benefit "Kindergeld" and want to check, whether child allowance is a better option.

On this website they mention a gross income of 80.000 euros per year (for both of you) to get child allowance.
