Is the cost of medication prescribed by my doctor fully covered by my German health insurance (not private)?

Hi @Sarah
thank your for your question. There is a certain color coding to identify how much you will have to pay for a prescription. If the prescription note is red your health insurance will pay for most of it. You will contribute with max 5-10 euros. If the color of the prescription is blue you will have to pay for the medication yourself. If the color is green then this can be covered by your health insurance. You would need to check with you health insurance how much is covered. To get reimbursed you will need the receipt and the prescription note and hand it to your health insurance.
I hope this answered your question, if you have any other questions please feel free to ask them here.
Best
Yara
