My family ticket from Iran to Germany was canceled by airline ( Iran Air ). And the company didn't answer me and I had to get a ticket for them from another company. So my question are !
1: In one place, I read that the company should pay another 600 euros for each ticket in addition to the damage of the ticket. This is true?
2:How and where can I file a complaint against this company?
3: Do I need a lawyer and if so, who will pay for the lawyer?
In general, what is your opinion on this issue and does anyone have experience. Because the company did not answer me and only says that we will pay half of your ticket. Thank

Hello @Ramin sharifi , thank you for reaching out to us. I am sorry to hear that your flight was canceled. That is super frustrating that now you do not receive an answer from the airline.
So as far as I have read you can only receive compensation if you are flying from a non EU country to a EU country with an EU airline. According to the EU law. I am not sure about the Iranian law and whether you can claim compensation from the airline. This you would need to check.
There is a good overview of your rights and compensation regarding flights from and to the EU here: https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/travel/passenger-rights/air/index…
Please let me know if you have any further questions. Maybe also someone in the community has made similar experiences.
Best wishes
Hello @Ramin sharifi , here you have some additional information:
1. The Iran Air website states that "In the event of a cancellation by Iran Air, you will be offered either an alternative flight to your destination or a full refund if you prefer. However, if a flight is cancelled less than 14 days before scheduled departure from a European airport, passengers may be entitled to compensation of up to €600 per person under EU law“: https://www.airhelp.com/de/airlines/iran-air/
2. You could complain against the company by
- National Enforcement Body (NEB) in the country where the incident occurred: https://transport.ec.europa.eu/transport-themes/passenger-rights/national-enforcement-bodies-neb_en
- Luftfahrt-Bundesamt for flights to or from Germany https://www.lba.de/EN/
3. Before hiring a lawyer, please check the link where you may find information about your canceled flight and refund: https://www.adac.de/reise-freizeit/ratgeber/reiserecht/flug-annulliert/ Sometimes it can take up to two months to get a refund from the airlines.
As Yara wrote, You are also welcome to ask for advice in the forum, e.g. you can see if others have had similar questions or topics and you can write your questions underneath + tag the person (with @). Best Barbara
