New passport for the child for family reunification

I would like to ask: Can I renew my child’s passport, since it will expire on October 2024, or could renewing it affect or delay the process of granting a visa to my child?
Please note that the passport and its number will be completely new and different from the current passport and number that my child submitted in March 2023 to the embassy to obtain a family reunification visa, as the family file is still under process by the immigration authorities.
What should I do after obtaining the new passport for my child, meaning should I send it to any party and what are these parties?

If you decide to renew your child's passport then you will need to send that information to the respective embassy where you applied for family reunification.
