assisting

Dear Sharmilia HASHIMI

I hope this message finds you well.

My name is Babur E. and I am an experienced finance professional with 20 years of expertise in the field. I graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Balkh University in 2008. I have recently received a job offer from a company in Bremen, Germany, for the position of Finance Manager.

I am also eligible for the Chancenkarte Card in Germany, though the process from Pakistan might take a bit longer. I would appreciate your guidance on how to expedite this process and the support you can offer in this matter. Additionally, I would like to inquire about your consultancy fees for assisting me with the documentation and visa application.

Please let me know a convenient time for us to discuss this further. You can reach me at xx

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Best regards,

Babur E.

Hello @Babenayat , thank you for reaching out.

You will receive an answer soon.

I have taken out our phone number and last name. We want to protect the privacy of the user and therefore do not allow personal information such as full names, phones or private e-mail in the public forum.
I saw that you addressed this question to Sharmilla, Sharmilla is an editor with the project she is not able to give answers to individuals.

You can see her profile here: https://handbookgermany.de/en/sharmila-hashimi

You also asked about consultancy costs, we do not charge a fee for our work.
Our forum is free of charge.
Please be aware that there are many consultancy agencies which are very expensive and often do not do a good job. We would recommend free migration counselling centers or in certain cases to contact and pay for a migration lawyer.

If you have further questions please let us know. Our counselors will answer your questions shortly.
Best wishes

Thank you for reaching out and congratulations on your job offer in Bremen. That is a great opportunity!

Regarding your situation:
Since you already have a concrete job offer as Finance Manager, applying directly for a work visa or EU Blue Card, if your salary meets the threshold. This would usually be the faster route than applying for the Chancenkarte from abroad. The Chancenkarte is designed mainly for job seekers without an existing offer, so in your case, the employment visa is the more direct path. The application must be submitted at the German Embassy or Consulate in Pakistan. I've linked your the according information of the German embassy.

If your future employer is willing to support you to arrive faster, you can consider applying through the §81a accelerated procedure. Please note, that this process your future employer needs to apply for a pre-approval at their local foreigners department and it costs an extra fee (about 411€ per person).
In general, your employer in Bremen can also need to obtain pre-approval from the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit), but this is a standard step and can help speed up the process, even without the §81a accelerated process.

If you still prefer to apply for a Chancenkarte, you are correct, that waiting times in Pakistan can be quite long. The work visa option is generally quicker if all required documents are complete.

As for consultancy fees, as my colleague said, we do not charge for support. Instead, we can provide you with general guidance and point you to official resources. For binding legal advice or paid document handling, you would need to contact a certified migration lawyer or visa consultancy.

I hope this helps you to speed up the process. Please let me know if something remains unclear or you have further questions.
Wish you all the best!

Hi, Babur E.! I would strongly recommend studying the difference between the Chancekarte and the Working visa. The information is available online or on the Handbook Germany platform.

Look through the links here:

Chancenkarte or “Opportunity Card” for Jobseekers

Visa for Skilled Workers

EU Blue Card

Hope this will clarify the issue for you.

Good luck!

Anna (volunteer)
