Permanent residence in another EU country, just moved to Germany
Hello,
I am a non-EU citizen who have got a permanent residence in EU member state. I have moved to Berlin on August 13, 2024 and I am staying at a friend's place until September 03. From that date I will move to an apartment which I have booked. I do not have a job yet, but I am looking for a job. I know that I am allowed to work in Germany. My question is, should I declare my address to German authorities now? And should I ask for a personal number in Berlin while I do not have a job yet ?
Hello @Victoria__Ray , thank you for reaching out to us. Before I give you some information, could you let me know if you have a permanent residence in one EU member state or if you have EU permanent residence? Best, Barbara
