Convert the Blue Card (Section 18g) to a Student visa ?
Can a Blue Card be converted to a student visa after losing a job while on a Blue Card? Is there any authentic information on this, or has anyone gone through this process?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a simple or universal answer to this question. In general, it can be possible to change from an 18g status to a student residence permit under §16b. You can see, that this process would be possible in this GGUA document (see page 8).
However, because these situations can vary a lot depending on individual circumstances, I strongly recommend speaking with a local counseling service that can assess your specific case and guide you through the best next steps. Ideally one that specializes in migration law / asylum support.
