Departure of a minor
Good afternoon.
What are the possibilities of obtaining the status of a war refugee and will I be accepted if I am a 16-year-old teenager from Ukraine, I want to go to Germany because of the threat to my life, but my parents cannot and do not want to leave the country? They say that it is good and safe here (I have missiles flying all the time, I didn't go to school for 2 weeks in a row because of missile danger, no school, no light, no food, I am starving, I am constantly going to the shelter, and they say that it is good here...). Is it possible to move without parental support and what kind of support is provided in such cases? It is very dangerous here, next to Russia.
Thanks in advance <3

Hello @Captain_Plita , thank you for reaching out. In general, you can come to Germany and you will receive the so-called temporary protection from Germany.
We have a lot of information for those fleeing Ukraine, for example how to travel: https://handbookgermany.de/en/ukraine-info?themes=exit---entry#faq_2344
This information if also available in Ukrainian.
You can find the page here: https://handbookgermany.de/uk/ukraine-info
If you come to Germany as a minor the German state will take care of your basic needs. They will make sure you have housing etc. You will have to go to the reception centre, the one in Berlin is open around the clock. Here you can find more information on the support provided in Berlin.

The procedure can be different, depending on the city you are in. In general you can also always contact the Youth Migration Counselling centre for support.
You can see their contacts here: https://www.jugendmigrationsdienste.de/en/
If you have any further questions, please let us know.
Best wishes
