English certificate for the chancenkarte application
Hello,
I have a question regarding the application process for the chancenkarte. I am from Colombia and I want to apply to the job seeeking visa and one of the requirements is to have English level B2.
In my case, I completed my master's degree at a British university and that's usually enough as proof of language, but I have not found if that is also the case for the process for the chancenkarte.
Do I still need an English language certificate ( like the IELTS or TOEFL)?, or is it enough to provide the MA Diploma and a university letter certificating that I completed my studies in the UK university in a program in English as proof of my language skills?
Thanks for your help,

Hello @lini10
In the official letter of the embassy in Bogotá it says: Diploma (original y copia) de sus conocimientos de inglés – ¡mínimo B2! La escuela que expide el diploma debe estar certificada por la Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE); también se acepta el Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). For more info, you can check:

However, for the opportunity card, if you have a university degree with recognition in Germany, you will be taken as a qualified worker and would be exempt from language regulations as a principle. Yet you should check the specific requirements applying to Colombian citizens. More about the conditions for opportunity card you can find here:

I hope these were helpful :)
