German immigration

Dear TIG team!

I used to work with GIZ from 2016 until 2018 in a service contract as an Info and data management officer,

I applied for the German immigration process to GIZ and I received an email from OKV department on 01-Sep-2022 to fill out some required information and I shared all my information (Contract paper, threat letter, and family information) with them but after that, I didn't receive any email from them yet.

Could you please kindly help me out regarding my case procedure?

Hello @Nazifmal , thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I cannot follow up your individual case. I cannot tell you if and when you will receive a response from the GIZ. The general rule is that, if you worked as a subcontractor with the GIZ, then unfortunately you do not have the right to approval of admission to Germany. It is also unclear if the GIZ will reply to you if you do not fulfill the requirements. You can read more detailed information about the procedure here: https://handbookgermany.de/fa/afghanistan-info I am sorry that I cannot give you a more positive response. There are many who have worked for German institutions that feel left behind. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the German government has in partly failed to protect those that have worked for their institutions. If you have further questions please do not hesitate to contact us again. Yara Almunaizel
