German Passport information Enquiry
Dear Sir/Miss
Nice day!
This is Ramin who came from Ukraine to Germany during Ukraine war on March 2022 and I received Germany Temporary residency(No.24). Here are my questions about German Passport based on new law :
1- Does this period of time of living in Germany with this residency count for achieving German Passport ?
2- If I start a full time job and work for 20 months continuously, should I still meet the minimum total gross salary for achieving passport ?
3- As I passed the naturalisation Test before the new version with Holocaust (in particular for the protection of Jewish life) should I repeat the test ?
Best Regards
Ramin

Hello Ramin, thank you for reaching out to us.
Could I kindly ask you to remove your full name in the question. We want to protect the privacy of the user and do not allow full names to be displayed in the forum. Please also see our netiquette.
I am happy to try and answer your questions.
1. Yes, the period of living in Germany with §24 counts. Usually, you will need to live in Germany for minimum of 5 years with a residency to achieve citizenship, in some cases only 3years, for example if you can prove C1 level German.
More information about the requirements can be found here: https://handbookgermany.de/en/citizenship#faq_145
2. You will need to be able to cover your living costs, that means not receive any money from the jobcentre or Social Office.
So, if you work full time, usually that means you can cover your livelihood.
3. I am not sure if they will ask you to take the test again.
If you have any further questions, please let us know. You can read more about getting the German citizenship in our chapter: https://handbookgermany.de/en/citizenship
Best wishes
