Getting the German passport

I'm in Germany since March 2017, I studied bachelor of engineering and finished my study in November 2022. I have started working as full time engineer in January 2023.I have applied for the German passport in October 2023.

In January 2025 I received Aufhebungsvertrag, my job will be ended in 30.04.2025. till now I couldn't find another job. I applied for the Arbeitslosgeld.

I got an email to have an appointment to get the Einbürgerung on 30.04.2025 that date I'm still working and didn't lose my job yet. Should I inform them or by law it's okay to get the German passport in that case.

Another point,I did Schutzklage against the Aufhebungsvertrag.

Hi @around_the_world , thank you for your question on the forum.

I'm sure @Zainah_Pass[t]Genau and / or @Susanne_Pass[t]genau can help you further.
They are from the project Paas[t]Genau and can answer questions related to getting the citizenship.

In the meantime you can read about the citizenship application here:

Hi @around_the_world !

It is important that all changes are reported to the authorities. As you already have an appointment to receive your naturalization certificate on 30 April, it would be advisable to attend it.

If you have already worked for at least 12 months and are insured, you will slip into unemployment benefit 1. Unemployment benefit 1 is not problematic for naturalization.
For this reason, it would be advisable to apply for unemployment benefit 1 now. If you get a new job in the meantime, simply do not claim the money.

You should then make your professional situation known at the latest at your appointment with the naturalization authority.

Good luck on your way to a German passport!

Best regards
Zainah
