Getting Visa Appointment

Hello,

I Am from Afghanistan

I am currently studying at GISMA university of Applied Sciences. I came to Pakistan around 5 months ago but due to rush the waiting list is increased to more than a year.

I have a plan to go to Iran and get appointment from there. But I thing there is a requirement of staying 6 months than I can apply for visa appointment. If any one can provide information about this issue that would be great.

Hello @Ghulam Murtaza Ahmady , thank you for reaching out to us. Can I kindly ask to change your username. I have noticed you are using a full name. If I understand correctly you are waiting for an appointment at the German embassy in Iran or Pakistan. Unfortunately, the waiting times are very long for many Afghans. . Yes, as you mentioned once you have stayed in Iran for 6months or longer with a valid visa you can also apply for an appointment via the embassy in Tehran for a long-term visa to Germany. More information can be found on the embassy page- unfortunately it is in Germany. Maybe a translating the page can help. https://teheran.diplo.de/ir-de/-/2519494 More information can also be found on our Afghanistan page: https://handbookgermany.de/fa/afghanistan-info Best wishes
