Hello @aribabish , thank you for reaching out to us. In general, there is no age limit for applying to vocational training in Germany. Some jobs might have general age limits like firefighters. The regulations depend on whether you are already in Germany or are planning to come to Germany. If you are planning to come to Germany on a vocational training visa you should have B2 German level. You can read the regulations for a vocational training visa here: https://handbookgermany.de/en/vocational-training-visa If you are already in Germany then often times it depends on your training institution. Here is more information on the application process in Berlin: “The language competency required for the completion of the vocational training must be assured. In most cases this will mean sufficient proficiency in the German language equivalent to level B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Exceptions are only permitted if the training institution • provides individual language development courses as part of the training or • confirms that language skills are sufficient for the completion of qualified vocational training.” You can check this information here: https://service.berlin.de/dienstleistung/328338/en/ each federal state might have slightly different regulations. Here we provide more information on the different types of vocational training you can do: School-based vocational training: https://handbookgermany.de/en/vocational-training-school Dual Vocational Training: training-school https://handbookgermany.de/en/vocational-training-dual We are also publishing more information on vocational training in Germany here: https://handbookgermany.de/en/aif I hope this answered your question. I am always happy to help if you have any further questions. Best wishes Yara
