How can an international student in Berlin overcome culture shock, language barriers, find accommodation, and adapt to local life?
I'm an international student moving to Berlin, and I feel overwhelmed by the new culture and language barrier, finding accommodation, and adapting to local food. Could you share tips or resources to help me navigate these challenges and integrate smoothly into life in Berlin?

Hello @Stefen09 , thanks for reaching out.
It’s totally normal to feel a bit overwhelmed when moving to a new country or city. There is a lot of support for you out there.
Have you already had contact to the university? Often times the university provide important information and help with the first steps for international students. Such as accommodation. There is often a special apartment for international students.
You can also reach out to the Student Representative Body of your university, it is called “AStA” for support.
You can also have a look at “Studenten Werk” that can support you with valuable information: https://www.stw.berlin/en/international/welcome-to-berlin.html
In general Berlin is a great city for international students, there is a lot of support out there for you. For more information about the Students in Germany you can also visit our page: https://handbookgermany.de/en/category/education
