Is it possible to change from language learning permit to ausbildung permit without leaving Germany?
Hello everyone,
Im planning my future visit to Germany and my main goal is to do ausbildung, and therefore, work in Germany. Before actually doing ausbildung I thought that it would be a good idea to go through language courses (B2 or C1) for a few months to ensure my skills and use this time to settle down in Germany, get used to language and culture. So my question is, is it possible to do a Zweckwechsel from language learning visa (16f i suppose) to Ausbildung visa (16a) without the need to return back to my home country?
Thanks everyone in advance!

Dear @PotatoCarrot welcome to our forum and thank you for reaching out to us.
You plan sounds very great! it is possible to switch from a residence permit as language course to a vocational training in Germany. You can learn more about changing residence title and purpose of stay on Handbook Germany.
Please note that if you have already secured a vocational training place and still need to fulfil the language requirement, some German embassies or consulates offer the option to apply for a visa that first includes a German language course, before beginning the vocational training. You should check the website of the responsible German embassy or consulate for this possibility. One example is this checklist from the German embassy in Bern.
Wish you all the best! Please let me know if you have further questions.
