Long term visitor visa
Hi,
I live and work in Denmark (residence permit based on asylum). my brother is german citizen and works as a doctor. I want to get a visa and a residence permit in Germany so I can find a job and move there with my family. A declaration of commitment or a financial guarantee is available.
what is the best approach for my situation? what type of visas can I get and how?
Thank you in advance
Hi @A.Othman , Thank you for contacting us. I understand that you have applied for asylum in Denmark and now have a residence permit in Denmark. Now you would like to apply for a national visa for Germany. These options may be interesting for you, it depends on which degree/education you have:
For your studies or training you would need a blocked account or similar, so it's great that this is already available. And it does not matter if your brother is a doctor, the most important thing is what kind of education you have that is recognized in Germany.
If you have a residence permit in Denmark for a long time, you could apply in Denmark (with their conditions) for permanent residence EU. This would make it easier for you to work in Germany: https://handbookgermany.de/en/permanent-eu-residence-permit If you have any further questions after reading the links, please let me know.
