My application for a Blue card was sent in july/2024. So far, I got no response from the authorities or any appointments for interview. Is this normal? What can I do about it? My current visa is expiring in 5 days!

It is very understandable. In case you want to travel during the processing time, you can contact the responsible department and request a so-called "Fiktionsbescheinigung" (Fictional certificate). Regarding your situation: It's understandable that this makes you worrying. Unfortunately, the authorities often have to deal with a high number of requests and the long processing times are pretty common - often in big cities.
Please note, that even if your visa is expiring soon, you can keep stay and work in Germany. Since you already applied for a residence permit on time, your current visa extended automatically (§81, Abs. 4 AufenhG - unfortunately, only available in German). Nevertheless, you cannot leave Germany until you receive a residence permit or a so-called "Fiktionsbescheinigung" (a green sheet which states your extension officially).
May I ask which foreigners department is responsible for you? I can have a look how to contact them or get more information for you.
