Permanent residence in Germany work in Liechtenstein

Hi all,

I have permanent residence permit in Germany and am currently working for German company.

Now I got job offer from Liechtenstein where the company would solve my work permit but my question is if I can remain living in Germany since I would not need to relocate to Liechtenstein.

Thanks

Radivoj

Hello @Cirax74 , thank you for your question on our platform and congratulation from the job offer in Lichtenstein. In general, with a permanent residence permit you can stay living in Germany. You would need the approval to work in Lichtenstein from the offices in Lichtenstein. However, it is best to talk with a tax office about the regulations of paying both taxes in Germany and in Lichtenstein. This is called “doppelte Steuerabgabe” in German. If you have further questions I am always happy to help. Best wishes Yara

I am glad this information was useful. Please also double check with you local immigration office if this constellation living in Germany and working in Lichtenstein is feasible. You can also discuss further questions with a migration counselling center close to you. You can find the nearest one, using this search engine:https://bamf-navi.bamf.de/en/Themen/Migrationsberatung/ I am happy to help if you have further questions. Best wishes
