Religion Related Jobsearch Visa
I hope this message finds you well. My family and I (23 years old) are currently in Syria, facing severe threats to our lives due to religious persecution. We are urgently seeking to find a safe and secure place to live, and Germany appears to be a suitable destination where we can preserve our lives and rights.
Given my situation, I cannot travel to Germany illegally and am considering applying for a visa (ex: jobseeker) as a means to enter the country. Once there, I intend to apply for asylum. I have a few questions and would greatly appreciate your guidance by mentioning each question when answering:
-
Applying for Asylum on a Jobseeker Visa: Is it possible to apply for asylum in Germany upon arrival, even if I enter the country on a jobseeker visa or another type of visa?
-
Immediate Steps Upon Arrival: What should I do immediately after arriving in Germany, considering that I have no accommodation arrangements? Should I proceed directly to an initial accommodation center for refugees and inform them of my situation?
-
Family Reunification: If I am able to apply for asylum and it is granted, what steps can I take to reunite with my family members who remain in danger in Syria?
I am trying to ensure I follow the proper procedures and understand my rights and responsibilities. Any assistance or information you can provide on these matters would be immensely helpful.
Thank you for your time and support.

Dear @Hasan , I am very sorry to hear about your situation, unfortunately we cannot provide legal advice. We are an online information forum that can give you some initial general information. First of all, please read about the asylum procedure in Germany: https://handbookgermany.de/en/asylum If you are granted asylum or recognised as a refugee, you have the right to family reunification in Germany. Read about the conditions and requirements for applying for family reunification: https://handbookgermany.de/en/family-reunification You have written that you would like to apply for an opportunity card, maybe this website is useful for you: https://handbookgermany.de/en/opportunity-card I hope this information is useful for you. Kind regards, Barbara
I've noticed that some of previous answers for some people who have a kinda similar case to mine is that you advised them to apply for a visa so they can come to Germany and apply for Asylum. However, there are a lot of talks about that when I come to Germany using a visa, I can't apply for Asylum and I can't risk it. So please I'd appreciate if you can help me assure that when I come to Germany using a visa I can apply for Asylum upon arrival. Because the other way to come to Germany except for visas is illegal and I do totally prefer the legal way I first I want to make sure that i can proceed with it. Please if you can't help me with it or you don't have more information, I'd appreciate if you can provide me with a contact or a website or someone I can contact and ask about this.
Many thanks!
