Seeking Guidance on Relationship Issues, Residency Status, and Asylum Process in Germany

1. Request for Assistance:

   - I'm gay and I have are facing a problem as my partner is displaying aggression and threatening physical violence. Currently, he is seeking treatment from a psychiatrist but is not disclosing his aggressive behavior to the doctor. How can Iseek support and advice in this situation?

I want to break up with him!

we are not married

2. Dependency on Partner and Housing Lease:
   - My partner is from Ukraine, and I hold a Russian passport. My residency status in Germany depends on him according to paragraph 24. We receive support from JobCenter and rent a two-room apartment.

What will be the consequences for my housing after the relationship ends?

Is there a possibility that I could be relocated to a refugee camp?

3. Questions about Status and Prospects:

   - I entered Germany after the start of the war in Ukraine through the Polish border, obtaining an endorsement in my passport under paragraph 24.

If I separately apply for asylum as a Russian citizen, what consequences might this have?

How will it affect my status, considering I have a residence permit for two years under paragraph 24?

Can I be sent to Poland for consideration under the Dublin Agreement, despite having a German residence permit stamped in my passport?

Who Can Help and Action Plan:
   - Which organizations or services can provide assistance in our situation? What steps should i take, and who can offer the necessary support? Thank you for any advice and information!

Hello @iljas , thank you for reaching out to us! Please note if you are in an acute situation of physical danger from your partner please call an ambulance 112 or the police 111. . There are multiple organization which you can reach out to regarding your aggressive partner, they can help you leave the relationship safely and also support you in your next steps. . For example, “Quarteera” can support you with social, legal and psychological questions, they also offer support in Russian. On their website you can find the contact info: https://www.quarteera.de/help/beratung/. They are based in Berlin. . We also have support organization on the platform. Maybe @Erdem Zayimoğlu and/or @Gladt e.V. have further suggestions for you. . Regarding your question about the prospect of an asylum application; unofrtunately, I can not answer this further. You can seek out asylum procedure counseling to assess if applying for asylum is the best option for you. The BBZ in Berlin can offer this advice for you: https://www.bbzberlin.de/en/portfolio/gutberatengutankommen/. Finally, regarding your current residence status with §24 residency law I will double check if something like an independent right of residency exists. I will get back to you with more information soon. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again. Take care and best wishes Yara
