Settlement permit process
Hello!
I currently have an EU Blue Card and reaching my 21 months of working and living in Germany in a couple of months. I've been trying to find information on how I could actually apply for the settlement permit but I wanted to know if I even qualify.
I haven't been able to get into an integration course because all the classes are always full at the Volkshochschule but I have been taking private intensive courses since I moved (currently B1). Finding a testing center for the Life in Germany test has also been challenging. I understand these are both required for the settlement permit but are there other ways to satisfy either?
For example, does a B1 certificate satisfy the integration course requirement?
For the Life in Germany test, are there other testing centers for it?
Thank you for reading this.

It's great that you are close to reaching 21 months of employment in Germany! As a Blue Card holder, you will soon be eligible to apply for permanent residency.
To qualify, you will need:
Completing an integration course can be beneficial, but it is not mandatory for your application. The BAMF website provides all the questions from the test for practice. You can select your federal state, as 10 of the questions are specific to your region.
The test is usually offered at Volkshochschulen, but other certified centers may also provide it. If you let me know where you live, I am happy to check for test locations close to you.
Wishing you all the best! Please let me know if you have any further questions.
