Special consideration for the Holder of University Degree in germany

My wife has recently gotten a 3-year residence permit under Section 25.3.  She has also completed a degree here in Germany.  I would like to know if the University degree makes her qualify for permanent residence in 2years similar to researchers and others who can get PR early.

Hello @Adurojai , thank you for your question. Those with a so-called “ban on deportation” residence must have had a residence permit for at least 5 years, the duration of your asylum procedure included. We have provided more information on the requirements for a permanent residency status for refugees here: https://handbookgermany.de/en/permanent-residence . Unfortunately, only those who hold a residence title as refugees, researchers, skilled workers or have a Blue Card can receive a permanent residence faster. For a full overview you can read our info page: https://handbookgermany.de/en/permanent-residence-migrants Please let me know if you have any further questions. Best wishes

Hello @Adurojai , may I also add that your wife can get more counseling on the application process of the permanent residence permit with a migration counseling center. You can search for one near you using the BAMF navi: https://bamf-navi.bamf.de/en/Themen/Migrationsberatung/ Best wishes

Hi @Adurojai  ,

I wanted to check if you could get clarity about the possibilities for your wife. Could she get counseling from an organization?

Best wishes
