Tax class

My wife recently quit her job, now she gets ALG 1 and soon she will start an Ausbildung. So our tax classes should change. Where and how can I apply for this change?

Hi @ayset , thank you for your question. If your tax classes will change you should always inform your employer they should then adjust it. There is no need to let the Tax office know. Always check your payslip after you tax class has changed to double check that everything is correct. Best wishes Yara
