Ukraine

My girlfriend and we came from Ukraine
I am Sudanese by nationality
And my girfriend (Ukrainian)
We are in a long relationship
we arrived in Berlin about two months ago.
We have not been able to register yet
And we try to  contacted more than one organization
But no objective solution has been found yet

When I went to the registration place (Tegel),

I was not accepted because my relationship is without marriage and I do not have complete proof of my relationship,

and I do not have my Ukrainian document with me.
Knowing that I was interested in the issue of the residential address here in Berlin and I have proof of my relationship

There is really no solution to this problem or where can I find a clear answer

Hello @Abdelrahman Ali , thank you for reaching out to us. Can I ask what organizations you have already been in contact with? I will also suggest some support center at the end of my response. . In general the regulation is that also partners of Ukrainian nationals have the right to temporary protection. In reality this is often quite difficult to prove. You will need to prove to the immigration office that this is the case. So I would suggest that you gather all the documents such as pictures together, Whatsapp messages and any other “proof” to show that you were together in a partnership in the Ukraine. It would be helpful if your girlfriend comes to the registration or appointments to also show and say that you have been in a long partnership together. . I would also strongly advise that you seek further help with welfare organizations or other support groups. Sometimes a lawyer also has to be contacted to pressure the immigration office. In berlin there are various counseling centers such as the Refugee Law clinic: https://www.rlc-berlin.org/beratung?lang=en Or Cusbu:https://www.cusbu.de/ or KUB: https://kub-berlin.org/en/ . Currently many of the support centers will have limited capacity or not be open because of the holiday season. Please do get back to me if you were able to receive support from one of these organizations and if you have any further questions of course. Warm wishes

We have been in tumban network and Cusbu organisations. When we were in Tigel, and other places we always coming together, and we bring all our proofs as a photos (in A4) and we asked to let us show our messages what is can proof also that we are in long term relationship, but unfortunately they even didn’t let us show as how they said it’s not work because it’s not proof. Also I have proofs that I worked in Ukraine as a fashion model, and every of that proof in my social media as how I’m active there since long time, and I have everything how we were together when the war start and how we are leaving Ukraine and coming to Europe together all that proof with date and locations, but they were saying that is not proof. I would really appreciate to hear any advice. Thank you??

Hi @Abdelrahman Ali , thank you for your detailed response. This is very frustrating, I am sorry to hear this. . I would suggest contacting the refugee law clinic, they offer legal advice and can also refer you to lawyers. Sometimes this is needed to pressure the offices. You can find their information here:https://www.rlc-berlin.org/beratung?lang=en . You have to e-mail for an appointment in advance for most advice sessions but Mondays are open session. Because of the holidays the next couple of Mondays there will be no counseling. Please check their calendar. . Please let me know if they were able to help you further. Best wishes
