Urgent Guidance Needed for Job Opportunities in Germany

Dear Handbook Germany Team,

I hope you are doing well. My name is Muhammad, and I arrived in Germany on December 17, 2024, on a Chancenkarte visa. I have a recognized bachelor’s degree in IT, and I am an IT expert with relevant skills and experience. However, despite my continuous efforts over the past four months, I have not been able to secure a job in my field. Most of the responses I receive from employers indicate that my German language skills are not sufficient for the job.

I have been actively applying, improving my skills, and trying my best to integrate into the German job market, but unfortunately, I am facing continuous rejections. This situation has become extremely stressful and mentally exhausting for me. I came to Germany with the hope of building my career and future, but now I feel lost and unsure about what to do next.

The Jobcenter has suggested that I look for a Fachkraft (skilled worker) job if I cannot secure a position in IT. However, I am struggling to understand where and how I can find such opportunities. I am reaching out to you with a humble request for guidance and support.

My questions are:

  • Where can I find Fachkraft job opportunities?
  • What steps should I take to secure a job as soon as possible?
  • Are there any programs, resources, or alternative options available for people in my situation?

I am deeply committed to working and settling in Germany permanently, and I genuinely want to contribute positively to society. I kindly request your help, guidance, or any resources that could assist me in finding a job. Your support would mean a lot to me in this difficult time.

I would be extremely grateful for any advice or direction you can provide. Looking forward to your response.

Thank you so much for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
Muhammad

Most companies in Germany use German as their main language. Some jobs may be possible with English, but for most, you will need to speak German. There are many ways to learn or improve your German, and you can find helpful resources here: https://handbookgermany.de/en/learning-german.
