Hello @rustam , thank you for your question. Whether or not you can travel to your home country, depends what type of residency you have in Germany. If you have a blue passport (recognized refugee status according to the Geneva Convention) for example, travelling to your home country is usually not allowed. Please find more initial information here: https://handbookgermany.de/en/traveling-abroad-refugees We are currently receiving a lot of messages. I will provide more details later on/in the coming days. Best wishes Yara

Hello Rustam, this depends on the type of residency you have. Do you have international protection or do you have, for example, a residency permit for working? The type of residency you have should be noted down on your ID. If you let me know what residency you have I can give you more details.

Hello @rustam , thank you for this information, and apologies for the late reply. I would strongly advice you to seek out a counseling center and ask them, as well as ask your local immigration office whether or not you can travel back to Afghanistan. It would also be a good idea to receive written proof that you can travel to Afghanistan. It is important that you seek advice because in the worst case your residence status could be revoked. You can contact the refugee council in Bavaria: https://www.fluechtlingsrat-bayern.de/ueber-uns/kontakt/ and ask them. I will also send you a private message with more contact information. In general, you can travel to other countries, as long as you do not leave for longer than 6 months. After 6 months your residence will be lost. However, traveling back to you home country (Afghanistan) could be problematic, therefore, it is best to double check with an expert to avoid problems with your residence status. If you need further information please do not hesitate to ask us here. Best wishes Yara

Hello @nawid23 , thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I have no updates regarding this. I can only suggest to you that you ask your immigration office and receive written proof that you can travel to Afghanistan, to be on the safe side. I will come back to you in case I have any updates.
