Working remotely from another EU country with a residence card for family members

I (Indian) live with my husband in Berlin. He is a non German EU citizen (Netherlands) and I have a residence card for family members in the EU. I am employed by a German company and my spouse and I would like to spend a month in Spain while working remotely. Do I need a Spanish work permit or does only my company need to authorise this?

Hey @ila, thank you for reaching out to us. As a holder of a residence card for family members of an EU citizen, you're entitled to certain rights under EU law, including the right to move and reside freely within the EU. This means that you will be able to travel to Spain and stay there for a month, as planned: https://www.bamf.de/EN/Themen/MigrationAufenthalt/ZuwandererDrittstaate…. You are working remotely for a German company while in Spain, so your employment situation doesn't change and you are not looking for a job in Spain. Therefore, you do not need a Spanish work permit. If you have any further questions, please let me know. Best Barbara
