EU Blue Card-Job lost

Has anyone experienced a similar situation or has reliable information on this?

If a person holding an EU Blue Card — valid until June 2029 — loses their job during the probation period and receives the 3-month grace period, and during that time submits a new employment contract for a Blue Card to Skilled Worker permit conversion,Also,requested to extension for 2 or 3months, but has not yet received any response from the Ausländerbehörde (ABH):

Is it possible to travel outside Germany and re-enter after the grace period has expired while the application is still being processed?

Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Great that you already have a new job and have submitted an application for a new residence permit to the Ausländerbehörde. As a rule, the “Fiktionswirkung” (§81 AufenthG) applies while your application is being processed. This means: until a decision has been made on your application, your stay is legal and all rights from your previous residence permit remain valid.

However, to be on the safe side when leaving and re-entering Germany, you should apply for a "Fiktionsbescheinigung" at the Ausländerbehörde.
