Permanent residence

Hello everyone,
I was using duldung since 2019 June and I later applied for second asylum around December 2019 and I got Ban of deportation from Bamf February 2020.due to locked down of covid19. I
couldn't work or go to school.  Even I received
my plastic around November 2020 . I started
integration 2021 July till December also started
working around April 2022 and i also got unlimited work contract from my Employee
. By counting I will be 5 years  next year
February 2025. My Question now is that.  Should I apply for permanent residence permit now or I should wait until February when I received positive from Bamf that count 5 years?

Hi @Stepfred
Thanks for getting in touch. You have really achieved a lot in the last few years.

It sounds like you are well aware of the requirements for permanent residence. You only have a legal claim if you meet all the requirements. This includes the 5 years of legal residence.

Since the authorities probably won't process the application this year due to the holidays, and February is already two months away, it might make sense to apply when you fully meet all the requirements.
You can check again here: https://handbookgermany.de/en/permanent-residence#faq_566

At the beginning of next year, you can collect all the documents for the application and send them to the authorities in time.

If your current residence permit expires in the next few months, you can also apply for an extension as the permanent residence process may take a while. This depends of course on your local authority.

Kind regards
Daniela

Thanks so much. I had my B1 and also passed leben in Deutschland.  I am living in my apartment since June the year.i don't know if Jobcenter is paying for my insurance 60 months versicherung during my integration course before I start working. Does the integration period count ?

Hi again,
how many years have you worked in total? Even in the first asylum procedure or with Duldung.

The jobcenter only covers health insurance. They do not cover pension contribution.

You can get an extract from the pension insurance "Rentenbescheid" which states how many years you contributed. You can get it at the pension insurance company.
It sounds like this is the only requirement which you do not fully meet. You can check at insurance counseling if a back-payment of pension contributions is possible and how much that would be.

What's your current job? Do you work as a "skilled worker"?

Thanks for the clarifications. Unfortunatel  I couldnt allow to  work during first asylum process .

I started working 2022. I still have some years ahead to work.  I didn't work as skilled workers.

Thanks so much
