Result of the Interview

Could you please let me know how much time it normally takes in Bremen City nowadays to get any result for the Asylum interview at BAMF.

Secondly if someone's coming from Hungary will it take more time.? And Did they send anyone back to Hungary based on Doblin rule because Hungary is not a refugee friendly country and not having specific procedures for Asylum.

Hello @Hikmat-Azizi , thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I do not have the current statistics on how long the asylum procedure will take in Bremen. The length if the asylum procedure depends on a lot of different factors, such as country of origin. However, the average waiting time in the second half of 2020 was 10months until the asylum procedure was completed. You can find the information here: https://www.bundestag.de/webarchiv/presse/hib/2020_11/803068-803068 (unfortunately, it is in German) You can find more important information about the asylum procedure here: https://handbookgermany.de/en/asylum-procedure In case I get any more information on the length of the asylum procedure in Bremen, I will let you know. Yes you are right, the majority of Dublin cases for Hungary are dismissed in Germany because Hungary does not meet the standard requirements for refugees and various other reasons. However, in first months of 2021 Germany, for the first time since 2017, deported someone back to Hungary. This was revealed after the left party (die LINKE) made a so called "small request" to the government. You can find the request for an answer from the left party here: (Unfortunately, it is only in German) https://www.ulla-jelpke.de/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/1930849_Erg%C3%A4… However, the large majority of Dublin cases are not referred back to Hungry. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you if those coming from Hungary will take more time in the asylum procedure than others. I could not find any statistics on this. I hope this information was useful. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask us. Best wishes Yara

Hello @Hikmat-Azizi , I just wanted to check with you if you have received a decision from BAMF yet? Best wishes Yara
Hikmat-Azizi
I didnt receive an answer from BAMF but i received a letter from BAMF saying that Germany is responsible for the asylum case after june 23 as before that Hungary was responsible for my proceedings. I had to wait six months just for this procedure although none of the Afghans have been deported back to Hungary uptil now.

Hi @Hikmat-Azizi , thank you for the update! Yes, unfortunately all Dublin procedures have the same time frame, even though Germany for the most part does not deport back to Hungry. This means Germany will soon become responsible for your asylum procedure. It is important that you prepare for your interview well. There are some organizations which can also come and support you during the interview. You can reach out to a counseling center which will help you in the procedure. Here is the information when you can reach them, scroll down for English: https://awo-bremen.de/zugewanderte-gefluechtete/beratung-begleitung-ori… We also have further information about the Dublin procedure here: https://handbookgermany.de/en/dublin-procedure And about the Asylum procedure: https://handbookgermany.de/en/asylum-procedure Please let me know if you were able to contact them and if you need further help. Best wishes
