Student visa

Hi,

I have German B1 and I have admission in B2 language course plus studienkolleg and conditional admission from university, i am waiting for my visa interview but I have a brother who filed asylum after reaching Germany in 2022, got accepted and now works legally as a project manager, so will his asylum have negative impact on my visa. Should I tell the embassy that I have a brother in Germany?

Many people are getting rejected nowadays becuase they have relatives in Germany like first family members.

Hi @hamid12 , welcome back to the forum. We have already answered your question in this thread: https://handbookgermany.de/en/forum/thread/study-visa-3. Having a relative in Germany is not a reason for rejection in itself. Best wishes, Barbara
